   Sure, why not. But it would be a good thing to add the donation progress for each manga though to see how much has already been donated for translation and how much there’s left for it to finish.

   Yeah, I don’t have a way of automating that kind of thing, though. It’s less trouble if you just e-mail me if you want to know how much remains before a certain project is completed. Chances are cannon will be paid off in full by tomorrow, so I’ll be closing it off for donations once that’s been confirmed for sure.

   Or the other way round: How much do you take for scanlating one text page? The cover and mere artworks, illustrations etc. doesn’t count, do they?

   You can check the commission FAQ for this information. I begin working on extra chapters once I hit the amount needed for the next chapter(s). And no, covers and other junk like that don’t count.

    Kaworu Watashiya – Kodomo no Jikan
    Is an excellent comic and cant wait for more thank you for doing this series that has an excellent story going for it that keeps you hookeds hoping for more.

    So far is amazing and really exciting carnt wait to see what happens next as its got a really good story as well and great hentai parts.

    No haven’t started this one yet at least don’t think you have but it looks really promising and cant wait to see if as good as it looks like it will be.

    I sometimes work on stuff just for fun, but the expectation is that people will donate until the donor project eventually reaches completion, even if that happens to take a year. If people lose interest or the donor isn’t popular at all, it may be a while before the translation is completed.

    Any posibility to include Bow Rei’s Secret Flower Garden as a donor project? Since it was already comissioned up to chapter 13 it may be an interesting option.

    The problem with starting up Flower Garden as a donor project is that I don’t have the raws. If somebody can scan the raws and provide them, I’d have no problem adding it as a donor project.

    Yeah. Parabellum’s pretty close. Silver Dragon doesn’t actually have a tankoubon release after Volume 3. The publisher released the last chapter of and then it went belly up. Hard to say when/if a volume 4 tankoubon will ever be released.

    How about Toshiue no Hito as another donor project, since nobody has done any scans of it in a real long time. I was really enjoying it when KMTS was doing it, but the last time i checked on their forum, it was listed as dropped/discontued. In any event, i am enjoying several of your series, and look forward to a third chapter w/ the animal ear girls, if there is one.

    So far it’s been translated up to v4 c21, and then KMTS & Hentai-enishi just topped, i’m not sure how far into v4 that is, but it should be close to the end, i’d imagine. And thanks for considering it, i’d love to manage to finish the story rather than leave it incomplete.

    Regarding Toshiue no Hito:
    I remember reading this one long ago, and liking it quite a lot. If you get the raws SaHa, let me know, and I’ll get the ball rolling. And make sure it reaches the goal by myself, if needed.

    I’ve got to say thet i’ve gotten hooked, so to speak, on several of your translations. Currently Seka, Cheers, Tail Chaser, Prince, & Strange Heart are my favorites. Whenever ther’s a release of one of those titles, i enjoy reading it over several times. Although they may be hentai, the sories are so unusual that i can laugh my butt off for days remembering what happened in them.

    Oh, hi,
    I just wanted to say that your translations, sahadou, are just awesome; If it’s to read quality ‘not so mainstream’ titles translated into a language that I can actually understand then “oh yes”, I’m willing to pay.

    I live in Brazil and manga here is somewhat abundant, but o well… Localization tends to destroy some masterpieces.

    I want to contribute to Kodomo no Jikan, but as this series seems to be receiving more than suficient cash, I’ll take a look into the other projects.

    Uncensored? How’d that come about? Unless someone else did it after the scanning…but nevertheless, I’ll see if I can find it and check it out. And as for the donations, any amount barring $1 will do. Chip in what you can, or want for that matter.

    PS: Though the next chapter of Onigashima has $25 to go until its next up for translation, and the third chapter of Itazura Switch might pop up today. Just throwing that out there.

    Is it possible to start up a donor project by commissioning certain pages, then leave the rest to others?

    Let’s say I specifically want to see chapters 4, 6 and 9 of something translated (and pay for those). Would these chapters be prioritized then? The point is, I would ‘like’ to read it all eventually, even though I have a preference for certain chapters. It’s just a bit expensive for a student to commission all of it alone, you see. ^^

    I’m not sure if this is the whole point of running donor projects.

    As long as there’s no sequence to the chapters, that’s fine. In other words, if chapter 1 is directly related to chapter 4, 6 and 9, you’ll need to start with 1. If the stories are completely unrelated, it’s not a problem.

    Do you correct typos pointed out after the project completion (Hello, AnonymousEditor)?
    And in case you do, is there some way for us to see __when__ the fixed version is available without downloading the file every day to see if the size changes?

    As both the torrent and the direct download don’t carry any date info, I’d suggest renaming the file to “[SaHa] Author – Title (English) v2.rar” or making a new blog post to announce the availability (just adding a PS on the original one doesn’t show up in RSS readers). Even adding “version 2″ to some field in the commission lists would help a great deal…

    Hello JukanX^^

    My current way of keeping everything up to date is the following (I’m only downloading fixes with the torrents):
    1. Stop the torrent before it starts loading.
    2. Set all changed/new files to some other priority (using µtorrent)
    3. Start loading and replace all changed files (the priority serves as reminder, that this file got changed)

    I agree that this is not very efficient but it works.

    The idea of renaming would break the updating of the torrent. You would end up with multiple files for one release if you don’t clean up manually.

    Posting a comment in the release post might be the best idea as comments show up in RSS readers.

    The number left/out are accurate as long as I didn’t screw up. Also, it usually takes me 2 or 3 days after the release of any donor project chapters before I update the chapter info.

    I’ll go with AnonymousEditor’s suggestion and add a comment to the individual releases mentioning that I’ve fixed the typos. I usually just get around to the fixes when I can find the time. The past 2 weeks have been a little crazy for me, though.

    Really? Hmm, didn’t try downloading it, but I meant the labeling. It still says 7 chapters are available when according to you, that isn’t the case. Also, I appreciate any amount you donate towards the translation of Onigashima (I was considering having Sayo add another project, but it’d be easier on my finances if I just do one at a time from now on). I’ll probably pitch in to Playing in Water as well…because I like Hoshino’s art.

The characters are different but it’s similar humorous superhero catgirl stuff combined with fantastically drawn sex.      There is one manga I’ve been thinking of starting up as a donor project for a while that has some decent comedy elements, but it’s not exactly like Poko. I think I lost the raws to the hard drive crash a while back, so I’ll need to hunt them down again, but it’s a very good series, imo. 3 volumes long. You can also check out wrldtrvlr’s suggestion above(Donor Project 28), though I’m not sure if it’s what you have in mind.

     I’m not going to save them at 600 dpi until 62 inch computer screens become a norm.

     Parabellum vol.1 is done. I’m working on Vol.2 now. And the donations haven’t been met for 3 months. Parabellum 8 was covered within the past month and parabellum 9 was covered a week ago. I also have somebody importing and scanning the remainder of vol.2, so I should hopefully have the raws soon.

     My artist preferences? This has already been asked very recently. My list of artists I like is probably 600 miles long, but my personal favorite artist is probably John K. Peta followed by Jouji Manabe.
     I do like Nagare Ippon and Gorgeous Takarada among others.
     As for Sawada Daisuke, I’m not a big fan of his work.

     Ch.9 is Ch.8 and Ch.10 is Ch.9 of the Parabellum story since Chapter 7 of Parabellum Vol.1 was that piano story.
     Volume 1 has been done for months. I released the first chapter of Parabellum Vol.2 a couple months ago

     The donation limit for Chapter 8 was reached on January 17th, which is just slightly over a full month and it will be released soon. Stop nagging me about it.

     No. I don’t only do loli. Out of 35 donor projects, only 13 are actually loli and 1 additional one is kodomo no jikan, though it isn’t actual porn. Princess quest saga isn’t in the list. I just pasted the wrong cover image. There are unusual circumstances for Semen Junkie and it will likely be removed once chapter 6 has been completed. As for St.Penalty Academy, I’ve been asked to do a translation from scratch by people who are well aware of the existence of the current translations. Given the number of people who have contributed already, people do seem to want it done, so if you’re satisfied with the translations currently available, you don’t need to read mine.

     I’ve had a chance to take a look at both scans and I think the magazine scans are considerably better looking than the tankoubon scans, so I will likely be using those and simply yanking the extra pages from the tankoubon.

     I’m not actually sure what happened to SekaxSeka, I think the last chapter that appeared in Aun was chapter 8.5, and it didn’t seem to put an end to the story. It’s possible the artist is taking a break from the series to work on a bunch of one-shots. Nagare Ippon did something similar with parabellum at one point.

     someone mentionned it before, but have you considered maybe cutting back on the number of donor projects you have on the go at a time? with donations spread over 40+ projects, only a select few actually get finished while most just sit in limbo with an occasional chapter release every once in a while.

     you’d probably also get more donations with less projects. i’m sure i’m not the only one who is completely disinclined to donate to something that probably won’t be finished for years.

     it also gets a bit disheartenning watching other groups drop plans to do a project because it’s shown up in your donor projects only to sit there and never get touched.

     i hate to be critical because i enjoy the work you do, but i think you’ve spread things too thin. i’m finding myself looking more to the newer groups for translations. the quality might not be as good as yours, but their stuff actually gets finished in a timely manner because they’re only doing maybe a handfull of projects at one time.

     @Dan: Donors choose what they want to see translated; perhaps Sweets is shunned because few people are fond of “lightsaber cocks” mangas… IMO Cheers is anomalous in this respect.
     As for myself I’ve donated to a number of projects in the past including Turning Point, but lately I tend to focus on under-represented genres, and “straight sex” is not among them.

     To sum it up, if you want to read those two mangas that badly, basically you’ve got two choices: contributing money to the projects or learning the language. Repeatedly dissing other genres will not win you any friends, or convince people to sponsor what you want.

     I’m not sure I understand your question. Check the commission FAQ for starters. If you want to send something for a price quote, send me an e-mail with the raw. If you’re asking how long a full hmanga would take to translate, I usually quote 1 and a half to 2 weeks from whenever I can begin working on it. I do have a pretty heavy backlog at the moment, though.

     As for a timeline, again it depends on the size of the book and whether you want it done chapter by chapter or all in one shot.

     @wrldtrvlr, one thing at a time. When ‘Pretty Cool’ is finished, that maybe the next project Sayo decides to complete. He can only do so much at a time.

     Just so you know, I plan to fully fund ‘Alignment You! You!’ in the future. It won’t be until some other things are finished, though.

     You can follow donation status on each project by reading. If it says “N/A”, it means there are not currently any donations to that project. If it says something else, then that’s where the donations are at.

     Will you be re=inserting the Midgard series by outerworld back into the donor section now the next chapter is out with C78? Or do you need the scans first? all ive seen is the cover pic and now I need my next Bell-chan NTR fix ASAP

     Already have someone who’s ordering it and scanning it, so I should have scans soon. Once I have those, I’ll reopen the donor project.
